<p>A valve main body (62) for the suction check valve of an electromagnetic pump has a stepped structure comprising a cylindrical base part (63a) and a protruding part (63) which protrudes from the bearing face of the base part (63a) and is formed in the shape of a circular truncated cone. A spring is supported by the annular surface at the periphery of the bearing face of the base part (63a) and the protruding part (63b) is formed so as to protrude into a pump chamber. As a consequence, it is possible to adjust the spring tension by adjusting the height of the bearing face of the base part (63a) and to adjust the volume of the pump chamber by adjusting the height and diameter of the protruding part (63b). As a result, it is possible to optimize the impelling force of the spring and the volume of the pump chamber with a simple configuration, thereby being able to improve the discharging performance.</p>
