<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress, in a developing device including a developer container provided outside a developing part with a developer circulated between the developing part and the developer container, variation in amount of the developer present in the developing part by stabilizing an amount of a developer conveyed through a developer conveyance path by an air flow from the developer container to the developing part regardless of a state of the developer. <P>SOLUTION: A developing device is configured to supply air from an air pump 60 to a discharge part 54 where a developer is discharged from a stirring part 40 so that the developer is conveyed from the stirring part 40 to a developing part 10. A pressure gauge 61 detects an air pressure within an air supply tube 64, and a motor 62 for driving the air pump is controlled on the basis of the air pressure detected by the pressure gauge so that the air may flow through the air supply tube 64 at a prescribed flow rate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
