<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inverter power generation apparatus that prevents an engine from stalling and improves efficiency by appropriately controlling the speed of the engine in response to variations in power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: An inverter power generation apparatus is provided with a power consumption calculation section 155 and a differentiation section 158 for calculating a differential value of power consumption. When the power consumption of a load varies, the differential value calculated by the differentiation section 158 is added to the power consumption calculated by the power consumption calculation section 155 to produce a differentiated power consumption. A speed of an engine is determined on the basis of the differentiated power consumption, and the rotation of the engine is controlled accordingly. Even when the power consumption of the load increases sharply, the speed of the engine 11 can be immediately increased to accommodate an increased power output and thus the engine is prevented from stalling. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
