<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To alter a voltage applied by primary transfer means to a voltage by which image unevenness caused by toner remaining in an image carrier is further suppressed based on the density of toner held by an intermediate transfer body. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming device comprises: an electricity removing part for removing charges of an image holding body; a density sensor for measuring the density of a toner image on an intermediate transfer belt; an output range table in which the temperature and humidity are associated with the output range of a transfer voltage; and a thermo-hygrometer. The image forming device measures the densities I1, I2, F1 and F2 of images formed on the history part of the primarily transferred image and the densities G1 and G2 of the images formed on the non-history part. The image forming device sets a primary transfer voltage to a voltage J1 at the intersection point J when an intersection point J of a first linear line I obtained by the coordinates (E1, I1) and (E2, I2) and a second linear line G obtained by the coordinates (E1, G1) and (E2, G2) is within the output range D corresponding to the temperature and humidity measured by the thermo-hygrometer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
