PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which: shrinkage is large in the polymerization and curing of a resin composition and therefore distortion occurring in the polymerization and curing is large; and, if a molecular weight of ester (meta) acrylate is large, viscosity becomes high and a resin layer is easily subjected to yellowing deterioration.

SOLUTION: A composite optical element includes a resin layer formed by polymerization of a resin composition containing non-N ester (meta) acrylate containing no nitrogen (N) and represented by the following formula, a polyfunctional isocyanurate compound, and a polymerization initiator.
