The present technology relates to an A/D converter, solid-state imaging device and drive method, as well as electronic apparatus capable of reducing power consumption while suppressing circuit scale. A comparator compares a reference voltage of a RAMP waveform, such that the voltage value varies together with time, with an input voltage; lower bit storage elements hold count values in a predetermined count pattern on the basis of the output signal of the comparator; Gray code binary conversion circuits convert the count values in the count pattern held by the lower bit storage elements into binary data; and store operation control circuits supply a pulse signal corresponding to the binary data converted by the Gray code binary conversion circuits to lower bit up/down counters. The present technology, for example, can be applied to an image sensor that holds the count values in the storage elements using the Gray code or a phase shift code as a clock signal. |
