COMMUNICATION DEVICE, PATH SEARCH METHOD AND PATH SEARCH PROGRAM

A node device has a transmission unit, a receiving unit, a transmission execution unit, a transmission stopping unit, and a warning transmission unit. The transmission unit transmits a path search request to a neighboring communication device (a transmission device capable of direct communication) that has not been selected as the transmission destination of a path search request requesting a path search from the local device to a prescribed device. The receiving unit receives from the prescribed device a response to the path search request transmitted by the transmission unit. The transmission execution unit allows the transmission unit to execute transmission of the path search request if the number of neighboring communication devices with a received response and a confirmed path is less than a prescribed number and there exist unselected neighboring communication devices. The transmission stopping unit stops transmission of the path search request executed by the transmission unit if the number of neighboring communication devices with a received response and a confirmed path has reached a prescribed number. The warning transmission unit transmits a warning to the prescribed device if the number of neighboring communication devices with a confirmed path is less than a prescribed number and there are no unselected neighboring communication devices.
