In a three-dimensional image device, sub-pixel regions which are assigned to optical aperture parts are determined in accordance with an observer's position, and the sub-pixel regions include sub-pixel segments demarcating the sub-pixels at the boundaries between adjacent sub-pixel regions. As for the sub-pixel segments, parallax information pertaining to the adjacent sub-pixel regions is combined with and displayed in the sub-pixels which form the sub-pixel segments, and which correspond to the adjacent sub-pixel regions and are observed through the adjacent optical aperture parts.
