<p>A light-emitting device of this embodiment comprises a first substrate, an organic EL element, a second substrate, a joint part, and a drying member. The organic EL element has a light-emitting section for emitting light. The organic EL element is formed on one surface of the first substrate. The second substrate is so arranged as to face the one surface of the first substrate. The second substrate is so adapted that a void space for housing the light-emitting section is formed between the second substrate and the first substrate. The joint part is formed in a frame shape so as to surround the light-emitting section. The joint part is so adapted as to joint a first-substrate-facing surface of the second substrate to the above-mentioned one surface of the first substrate. The drying member is arranged on the outside edge of a region surrounded by the joint part on the above-mentioned facing surface of the second substrate, so that the drying member cannot be in contact with the light-emitting section.</p> |
