摘要
683,442. Injection-moulding machines. SAUTER, H., and HAHN, W., (trading as HAHN & KOLB [Firm of]). Aug. 8, 1950 [Oct. 1, 1948], No. 19695/50. Class 87 (ii). [Also in Group XXII] A machine for forcing molter metal from a cylindrical chambe: into one or more dies at the side thereof by an injection plunger an( an opposed plunger which control the sprue, is characterised in that the injection plunger, just before i touches the metal in the chamber positively moves transmitting means towards which the opposed plunge is biassed, so that this also moves, to open the sprue, until arrested by a stop while the transmitting mean continues to follow the movement o the injection plunger. In the ma chine shown with the dies 32, 33 held in closed position and the plunger 2, 3 in the position shown in Fig. 2 by hydraulic pressure in a pipe Q leading to spaces 35 and 27 and con stant hydraulic pressure in a pipe I leading to spaces 24 and 10, the chamber 1 is filled with molten metal. Then hydraulic pressure i applied above a plunger 19 to force it down against a constant pressure in the space 24. The injection plunger, yoke 14 and stepped rods 13 are thus moved down. A bridge 12 is normally held against stops 30 by hydraulic pressure in the space 2' and in a space 26, via a passage 29 from the space 10, tending to force a plunger 5 up. The rod 4 is adjustably fixed to the bridge 12 by nuts 18 and holds the opposed plunger 3 in a position to close the sprue 16 and determine the volume of metal in the chamber 1. When the steps on the rods 13 engage the bridge 12 it is moved down, with the plunger 5 and the rod 4, and the plunger 3 can now move down under the influence of constant hydraulic pressure in the space 26, supplied through passages &c., 29, 10 and P, acting on the piston 9. When this engages the stop 8 of the plunger 7 which is held up by pressure in the space 27, it is arrested, the plunger 3 having just uncovered the sprue 16. Further movement of the plunger 2 forces the molten metal into the dies, the bridge 12 and plunger 5 moving down while the plunger 3 and piston 9 remain stationary. The pressure in the pipe Q is then relieved so that the constant pressure in the pipes P causes the plunger 7 to fall with the plunger 3 to the position shown in Fig. 1, thus extracting the residue 31, and then the plunger 35 to move to the left with the movable die 33, thus extracting, with the casting, the metal which has solidified in the sprue 16. The pressure above the plunger 19 is then relieved and the constant pressure in the space 24 causes it to rise with the plunger 2 leaving the chamber 1 free for cleaning and lubrication. Pressure is then applied again through the pipes Q to close the dies and raise the plunger 7 &c. to the position shown in Fig. 2 so that the cycle can be repeated. A throttle 36 is arranged in the passage 29 to increase the pressure in the space 26 when the plunger 5 is moving down and thus assist the downward movement of the plunger 9.
