<p>The heat-sensitive recording material has a substrate which carries a heat-sensitive recording layer with a dye precursor and a color acceptor on its side. The dye precursor and the color acceptor react with each other under the influence of heat color-forming. The substrate carries a rear side coating on its other side. The rear side coating contains ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer and calcium carbonate as a pigment.</p>
