A container for boots comprises a base (4, Fig. 4) sized to support soles of boots; clip 6 for holding the top of each boot; framework 12 for supporting the clip above the base; soft cover 10 which surrounds the base, framework and boots, where the cover has an opening flap 24 at the rear; and a handle 30 for carrying the container. The framework and base may comprise a foldable internal structure (12, 16, 18, Fig. 4) removable from the cover. The framework may comprise a pillar 12 connected to an upper plate (22, Fig. 4), or comprise scaffold housed in slots in the cover. The pillar may comprise three sections which can be folded into an S or Z configuration between storage and erect configurations. The clip may be removably attached to the pillar at varying heights. The base may be covered by a removable water-resistant plate.
