The switchgear cabinet (10) has side wall portions (12) and a cover or base wall portion (14). The wall portions are integrally connected to one another, to form a rectangular frame. The side wall portion and cover or base wall portion are inclined along the outer edges (30) so as to form a box-shaped portion. The inclined edges are integrally connected at joints (32) as single-element, with adjacent inclined outer edges to form a corner portion at each frame corner.
