The bonded abrasive article comprises abrasive grains comprising cubic boron nitride (cBN) within a bond matrix material, which bond matrix material comprises a polycrystalline cerarmic phase. The bonded abrasive article further comprises a porosity of not less than about 5.0 vol%; and a modulus of rapture (MOR) of not less than about 40 MPa.</p>
