The method involves providing an optimizing unit (13) between a data source and a data destination, where the optimizing unit optimizes i.e. compresses, transmission data. The compressed data are transmitted from the optimizing unit to the data destination, where a data-quality analyzing process is performed before compressing the transmission data. Individual optimization level i.e. compression degree, of the transmission data is determined. The transmission data is allowed to be compressed in the optimizing unit based on the determined optimization level. An independent claim is also included for an optimizing device. |
