<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To release the formation of a pattern image, according to the content and use of an image, on the basis of forming the pattern image for tracking the source of image or limiting formation of the image. <P>SOLUTION: A CPU attempts decoding of enciphered release information (SB3), by using a release password, when image data imparted for forming the image are received and the release password are added to this image data by being inputted by a user and the release information (SB1, SB2: YES). The CPU forms the image corresponding to the image data (SB5), without forming a tracking pattern image, when detecting the indication for releasing the formation of the tracking pattern image from the decoded release information (SB4: YES). Meanwhile, the CPU forms the tracking pattern image and an image, corresponding to the image data (SB6), when is determined that the indication for releasing the formation of the tracking pattern image is not to be detected (SB4: NO). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
