摘要 694,199. Conveyers etc.; loading &c. GROETSCHEL, K. M. Nov. 17, 1950. [Oct. 1, 1948] No. 28163/50. Classes 78 (i) and 78 (iv). Nov. 17, 1950. [Oct. 1, In a loading device for underground gallery mining having a scooping or scraping loading tool for feeding material from a heap to a conveyer, the loading tool and its driving means is suspended above the bottom of the gallery from a rail or the like fixed to the gallery roof in such a manner that said mechanism is slidable along said rail or the like longitudinally of the gallery. The conveyer 30 has its lower feed end disposed below the floor of the mine gallery in a trench 31, and its upper discharge end is suspended by a cable from a carriage carried on an overhead rail 8 in the gallery roof. Coal is fed from a heap by a reciprocating scoop 5 onto the conveyer 30 which discharges it into trucks. Scoop 5 is pivotally mounted at 32 to a crosshead 4 attached to the pistons of two side-byside cylinders 2 forming part of a frame which rests at one end by means of rollers 7 on a horizontal U-shaped rail 6 arranged with the limbs of the U pointing towards the material to be loaded, and is suspended by cables towards its other end from a carriage 9 travelling on the rail 8. The scoop 5 is also pivotally attached by arms 18 to a cylinder 17 whose piston rod 20 is supported at the remote end 21 on the frame. Each cable bv which the frame is suspended is attached to the frame at 13, passed around a pulley 10 on the carriage 9, and a pulley 11 on the frame, and wound on a motor driven winch 12 mounted on the frame. A flap 29 of substantially the same area as the mouth of the scoop is pivotally mounted for movement within the scoop on a shaft 28 journaled in the scoop, and a pair of arms 26 carrying rollers 27 are mounted on the ends of shaft 28. In operation, the end supported on rail 6 is moved along the rail 6 to manoeuvre the frame into any desired position, whereby the scoop can operate forwardly or to either side of the gallery. The frame is then raised by means of winch 12 and the scoop is protracted forwardly by extending the piston rods of cylinders 2 and 17 to the chain line position, Fig. 3, and the frame is then lowered by the winch until the scoop touches the top of the pile of material. The pistons of cylinders 2 are then retracted somewhat while holding the piston of cylinder 17 in position, causing the scoop to dig into the pile of material, after which all the pistons are retracted simultaneously so that material is pushed by the scoop onto the conveyer. Towards the end of this movement rollers 27 engage stops 25 on the frame causing the flap 29 to discharge the material from the scoop onto the conveyer. Stops, not shown, are provided for limiting the forward protraction of'the scoop to suit the width of the gallery.
