VIBRATION MEASURING SENSOR AND APPRATUS USING THE OPTICAL FIBER

PURPOSE: A vibration sensing sensor and a vibration measuring device are provided to accurately measure the existence of vibration or the frequency of the vibration in extreme conditions and in various locations. CONSTITUTION: A vibration sensing sensor comprises a single frequency light source(21), an optical division member(22), a vibration sensing optical fiber(23), an optical phase modulator(24), an optical fiber coupler(25), and a photo detector(26). The optical division member divides a passage of the single frequency optical source. The vibration sensing optical fiber is installed in a vibration measuring location, thereby modulating the single frequency optical source of a first passage divided by the optical division member into vibration frequencies. The optical phase modulator modulates the single frequency light source of a second passage divided by the optical division member into reference frequencies. The optical fiber coupler joins optical signals output from the vibration sensing optical fiber and from the optical phase modulator. The photo detector detects the optical signals joined by the optical fiber coupler.
