PURPOSE: A component mounting apparatus and a method for mounting various components are provided to easily mount the various components on a substrate as a desired pattern by including spins. CONSTITUTION: A head unit(10) is placed on a predetermined plane which can move by a horizontal transfer tool. The horizontal transfer tool comprises an x-shaft gantry and a y-shaft gantry. A plurality of spindles(20) is formed on the head unit which can move upwards and downwards. The plurality of spindles supplies a component provided from a feeder(30). The plurality of spindles is arranged on the head unit in a circle. The component is a light emitting diode. The interval between the spins is changed.
