Class 44 In a band clip of the kind tightened by a worm 3 mounted in a housing 2 a washer 7 is provided surrounding the head 3b of the worm and closing the ends of the screw driver slot 6 therein to prevent the screwdriver slipping out. In the form shown the washer 7 is integral with a thrust washer 5 closed on to a neck between the head and threaded part of the worm. Lugs 13 from the housing are bent inwardly to locate the thrust washer. In another form the washer 7 and the thrust washer are separately formed but rigidly connected by a bridge piece having a slot to fit over, and be retained by riveting, an upstanding lug on the thrust washer.
