PURPOSE: A content providing system and a recording medium for providing a text to voice converting function are provided to select text that a user wants to receive by voice and output voice data from the selected text, thereby increasing study effects. CONSTITUTION: A control unit(150) provides content to a user. The control unit displays text to discriminate text to be converted into voice in the content from other text by a voice converting request of the user. The control unit controls the text to be converted into voice from at a location of the displayed text that the user selects. An output unit(120) outputs the text and the converted voice.
