The decorative blocks comprise a rectangular cuboid brick shape and include at least one sidewall which includes a means 2a, preferably a groove, channel or slot, for receiving a connecting means. In use the side wall may be the rear face of the block which faces the wall being attached to. Also claimed is a block with means for aligning with adjacent blocks above and below the block. The alignment means preferably comprises co-operating oblique surfaces 4 and 5 along length of the top and bottom, in use, of the block. The connecting devices, brackets or braces 3ab have adaptations 7ab to fit into the grooves 2a and preferably have means 9 for attaching the device to a wall. The grooves may come in pairs cut into the top surface of the block and are angled in different directions, for example such that they are perpendicular, orthogonal or at right angles to each other. |
