Disclosed herein is a cyclic depsipeptide compound of formula (I), wherein the substituents are as defined within the specification, in particular Stellatolide A and B, processes for their isolation for a sponge of the family Ancorinidae, genus Ecionemia, species Ecionemia acervus Bowerbank 1864, and pharmaceutical compositions comprising said compounds. Such compounds are useful as anticancer agents.
