The invention relates to veterinary medicine, in particular to preparations for use in prophylaxis and treatment of gastrointestinal disturbances, for example, salmonellosis, colibacteriosis, pasterellesis and other diseases. An antibacterial composition comprises at least one fluoroquinolone or at least one pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, trimethoprim, additives and water, wherein the composition further comprises at least one organic acid with the following component ratio wt%: fluoroquinolone or at least one pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof – 0.1-40; trimethoprim – 0.1-30; organic acid – 0.1-90; additives – 0.1-20; water - remaining. Therefore, the invention represents an antibacterial composition which due to its qualitative and quantitative properties has a high therapeutic effectiveness in the treatment of gastrointestinal infection disturbances. According to the invention the use of the composition ensures simple treatment of patients in need thereof, is economically beneficial and safe due to reduction of side effects of the composition components. |
