摘要 <p>The invention relates to a device for determining the concentration of microorganisms within a fluid by monitoring the variations in optical properties, corresponding, for example, to the surface plasmon resonance (SPR), and/or electric properties, such as impedance at specific frequency, due to the changes occurred upon application of a periodical stimulus by means of magnetic fields. According to the invention, the device comprises an assessment compartment () connected, through an intake tube (), to a tank () containing a sample to be assessed and through an outlet tube (), to a pump () which is connected, in its turn, through another tube (), to a discharge reservoir (), inside the assessment compartment () there being mounted a sensor () connected to a surface plasmon resonance measuring module () and to an electric impedance measuring module (), while a magnetic actuation module () induces a variable magnetic field into the assessment compartment () thereby determining the oscillation of particles () in the sample to be assessed, where said particles () have been transferred from the tank () into the assessment compartment ().</p>
