PURPOSE: A primer composition for identifying Pantoea stewartii subsp. Stewartii and a method for diagnosing corn bacterial wilt or leaf blight using the same are provided to quickly and easily diagnose and identify the bacteria. CONSTITUTION: A composition for identifying Pantoea stewartii subsp. Stewartii contais a primer set of sequence numbers 3 and 4. A composition for diagnosing corn bacterial wilt or leaf blight contains the primer set. A kit for identifying Pantoea stewartii subsp. Stewartii contains the composition. The kit for diagnosing corn bacterial wilt or leaf blight contains the composition. A method for diagnosing corn bacterial wilt or leaf blight comprises: a step of preparing DNA from a sample; a step of performing PCR using the primer set and DNA as a template; and a step of identifying PCR result.
