The mattress (185) has a foam core including non-crossing cutting lines. Two sets of areas (160, 175, 165, 180) are surrounded by solid forms of the material of the mattress, where a ratio of a surface of the solid forms to a surface of one of the two sets of areas is different from a ratio of a surface of the solid forms to a surface of the other set of areas. The solid forms are identical in the different sets of areas of the mattress, where the number of solid forms per unit area is variable between the different sets of areas.
