The mechanism has a thirty-one mobile for controlling a date indicator, and trailing type drive units driving the thirty-one mobile. A twelve mobile controls a month indicator. A manually operable month correction device drives the twelve mobile by increments of one month. The correction device is arranged for advancing the thirty-one mobile until an angular position corresponding to indication of the first day of the month such that the drive units are actuated through the thirty-one mobile monthly. The correction device is provided with a rabble arm (3) having a toothed sector (5).
