Disclosed are compositions, kits, and methods for cancer prophylaxis and therapy using recombinant MVA viruses encoding tumor-associated antigens, such as PSA and PAP. The recombinant MVA viruses can induce B- and T-cell responses. The recombinant MVA viruses can be administered prior to, at the same time as, or after a taxane.
