The system has a set of nozzles (11-14) provided for pistons and connected to a ramp (R1) of a lubrication circuit of an internal combustion engine (7). Another set of nozzles (21-24) is provided for the pistons and connected to another ramp (R2) for cooling the pistons. An open or close type controlled valve (6) is placed on the latter ramp in upstream of one of the latter set of nozzles. An oil pump (P) permanently supplies oil to the ramps only when the valve is opened. The pump possesses pressure regulation levels to establish oil pressure levels. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling an oil supply system.
