At least part of a porous ceramic body (9) has a structure in which aggregate particles are bound to each other by an inorganic binder component. The internal-pressure breakdown strength at which the ceramic separation-membrane structure (1) breaks down when water pressure is applied within cells (4) is at least 7 MPa.</p>
