The method involves generating a reception signal (5) based on geometry of an object (3) e.g. cylinder and ball. Measuring properties of virtual modeled sensors (1, 2) are determined based on the reception signal. An area of a surface of the object is divided into a set of surface segments for generating the signal. The surface segments are modeled by a three-dimensional, curved surface area of a geometric shape based on a reflection factor. The reception signal is computed as sum of signal components that are reflected from the surface area of the object. An independent claim is also included for a computing system.
