<p>A combustion control device provided with a fuel-injection valve, a water-temperature sensor, and an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit establishes a fuel injection timing for a first fuel injection and a fuel injection timing for a second fuel injection executed after the first fuel injection, and also establishes a fuel injection timing for a third fuel injection executed before the first fuel injection upon determining that the engine load is lower than a first predetermined value. The electronic control unit advances the fuel injection timings of the third and first fuel injections in accordance with the water temperature upon determining that the engine load is lower than a second predetermined value, the second predetermined value being equal to or lower than the first predetermined value. The electronic control unit operates the fuel injection valve so as to sequentially execute the first and second fuel injections in accordance with the fuel injection timings of the first and second fuel injections, and operates the fuel injection valve so as to perform the third fuel injection prior to the first fuel injection in accordance with the fuel injection timing of the third fuel injection.</p> |
