<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease sleeve ghost that occurs when a charge amount differs between a developer and replenishing toner in a developing device under such conditions that the temperature and humidity differ between in a developing container and in a replenishing container. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a temperature sensor 81 detecting information relating to the humidity in an atmosphere of a developing container 41; a temperature sensor 82 detecting information relating to the humidity in an atmosphere of a toner hopper 84; an inductance sensor 45 detecting information relating to the toner density in the developing container 41; and a printer control unit 300, which controls a replenishing operation of a replenishing screw member 85 based on image information, controls the replenishing operation of the replenishing screw member 85 so as to obtain a predetermined value or less of the toner density in the developing container 41 based on the detection results of the inductance sensor 45, and controls the predetermined value in such a manner that, when a difference between humidity detection results detected by the temperature sensors 81 and 82 is large, the predetermined value is decreased compared to the value when the above difference is smaller. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
