<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection apparatus capable of efficiently inspecting the degree of yellowness or transparency of a light guide plate sheet used for manufacturing a light guide plate and of the light guide plate. <P>SOLUTION: A light irradiation unit 2 irradiates an end face of a light guide plate sheet 6 with light. A light receiver 3 receives transmitted light having passed through the light guide plate sheet 6 and detects an X value and a luminance value. In a determination unit 42, a first determination unit 421 determines based on a correlation α stored in a first storage unit 411 whether or not a YI value corresponding to the X value detected by the light receiver 3 exceeds a prescribed threshold value, and a second determination unit 422 determines based on a correlation β stored in a second storage unit 412 whether or not total light transmittance corresponding to the luminance value detected by the light receiver 3 is less than the prescribed threshold value.
