<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a one-way clutch capable of bidirectionally idling, which is constructed with a smaller number of components, easy to assemble and inexpensive to manufacture. <P>SOLUTION: A cage holding an intermediate member is switchable into a first position where an inside member or an outside member is bidirectionally rotatable, a second position where it is locked to be non-rotatable in one direction but rotatable in the other direction, and a third position where it is locked to be non-rotatable in the other direction but rotatable in the one direction.
