The round filter cartridge (1) has two opposite end walls and a hollow filter element (5) that is inserted between the both end walls. The filter element limits a central clean air chamber with the side walls. An air outlet pipe (7) is provided along its projecting part (27) with an opening (24) for insertion of an air mass flow meter. A piece projects with its inlet end (19) into interior of a hollow cylindrical or truncated cone-shaped filter element. An independent claim is included for a dry-air filter for an internal combustion engine, which has a filter housing.
