<p>A portable health monitoring enabling device is disclosed. The device has a casing and one or more sensor elements formed in or on the casing for measuring a physiological signal of a subject. A signal processing module within the casing processes and converts the measured physiological signal into physiological data. A communication module within the casing communicates, over a short range, with another electronic device capable of accessing a telecommunication network and having processing capabilities.
