PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacture method capable of easily artificially converting a hollow foam glass spherical body micropulverized from rhyolite of a volcanic rock to form an ultra-lightweight porcelain clay, to meet the need of supplying stably over a long period a lightweight porcelain excellent in plasticity, firing crystallinity, flame resistance and the like for manufacture of a lightweight porcelain.
SOLUTION: A porcelain body slip formulated from a lightweight aggregate (Taisetsu Balloon) of a micropowdery hollow foam glass spherical body in rhyolite of a volcanic rock, having a bulk density (tap) in the range of 0.20 to 0.41, as a main material is slip-cast in a gypsum mold to thereby form a molded material, which is completely dried, and reductively fired to thereby manufacture an inorganic hollow porous ultralight-weight porcelain of ≤4 μm. In order to further enhance the flame resistance and heat quantity resistance, the surface of Taisetsu Balloon may effectively be coated with aluminum oxide; and in order to raise the strength, potassium feldspar may effectively be formulated.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
