<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dielectric ceramic whose desired relative dielectric constant εr can be attained stably, and which exhibits a high Qf value and a good temperature coefficient of the resonance frequency. <P>SOLUTION: If a main crystal phase contains Ba, Nd, Sm and Ti, and a part of Ti is replaced with Al. The content of Al contained in the main crystal phase is ≥10% to the total content of Al in terms of mol%, the dielectric ceramic can be obtained which has a high relative dielectric constant εr, a high quality coefficient Qf value, and a temperature coefficient τf of the resonance frequency of nearly 0 ppm/°C.
