PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device capable of selecting a reference image suitable for generating high-resolution images with high quality from a plurality of low-resolution images.

SOLUTION: The image processing device 100 includes: an alignment part 102 in which one out of the plurality of the low-resolution images is selected as a reference image candidate to obtain a transformation matrix for aligning the other low-resolution images; a reconfiguration processing part 103 in which a reconfigured image for reference image selection is generated by coordinate-converting the other low-resolution images by the transformation matrix and plotting the reference image candidate and the coordinate-converted low-resolution images on a mapping image; an evaluation value calculation part 104 in which a high evaluation value is given to the reference image candidate as the pixel number of the reference image candidate and the other low-resolution images plotted on the mapping image is larger, and as the pixel number plotted while being overlapped with the same pixel on the mapping image is smaller; and a reference image selection part 105 in which the reference image candidate having high evaluation value is selected as the reference image.
