A ring gripping jig capable of improving machining precision when machining the outer peripheral surface or machining the inner peripheral surface of a ring is provided. The ring gripping jig (80), which grips a ring (38A) when machining the outer peripheral surface and/or the inner peripheral surface of said ring, is provided with: a gripping jig body (81) having a fixed surface (81A) fixed to machine chuck; a gripping mechanism having claw members (83), which, when machining the inner peripheral surface of the ring, protrude from a gripping surface of the gripping jig body and hold the end of the ring (38A) by the tips; and a covered fastening section (81D) in which a fastener, which stops a pressing plate that presses the end of the ring toward a gripping surface (81B) of the gripping jig body when machining the outer peripheral surface of the ring, is fastened.
