The method involves determining three-dimensional positional data with potential endangerment for representing object in an environment of a motor car (1). The endangerment value and dependent on the endangerment value are evaluated with present endangerment information and are output to a rider to enable driving intervention. The recording locations of the object are determined from two of different positions of the motor car based on the three-dimensional positional data of the object and endangerment value.
