<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply apparatus capable of efficiently discharging electric charge stored in a capacitor and easy downsizing. <P>SOLUTION: A power supply apparatus 1 comprises a pair of power lines 11, a step-up part 2, a smoothing capacitor 3 and a discharge preventing diode 5. A terminal 30 and a terminal 210 are electrically coupled to each other via a switch 4, the terminal 30, as one of two terminals 30 and 31 of the smoothing capacitor 3, being connected to the power line 11 (positive side power line 11p) opposite to the power line 11 (negative side power line 11n) to which a first reactor 21 is provided, the terminal 210 being a terminal of a first reactor 21 on the power source 12 side. The switch 4 is turned off when power is supplied from the power source 12 to a DC load 10. After the power supply from the power source 12 to the DC load 10 is stopped, the switch 4 is turned on to discharge electric charge stored in the smoothing capacitor 3, through the switch 4 and the first reactor 21. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
