<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for improving manufacturing efficiency of a seamless belt having a thermoplastic resin as a major component. <P>SOLUTION: The manufacturing method includes: a step of extruding a molten body from an annular die to a clearance formed between first and second cylinders; a step of sandwitching the molten body extruded to the clearance by the first and second cylinders; a step of forming a cylindrical layer by relatively moving the first and second cylinders and the annular die in an axial direction with the molten body being sandwitched; a step of filling gas in a space comprising at least the cylindrical layer and either the first cylinder or the second cylinder; a step of solidifying the cylindrical layer; a step of continuously heating a connection portion between the molten body extruded from the annular die and the cylindrical layer in a circumferential direction by an annular heating mechanism that is embedded in the first or the second cylinder; a step of detecting that the cylindrical layer reaches a position facing the heating mechanism; and a step of severing the connection portion by increasing pressure of the gas filled in the space. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
