<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact terahertz electromagnetic wave or X-ray generator which can be driven with a low voltage and radiate terahertz electromagnetic wave or X-ray stably in a predetermined direction by exfoliation discharge. <P>SOLUTION: The terahertz electromagnetic wave or X-ray generator comprises first and second rotating rollers 1, 2 formed rotatably around two central shafts arranged while spaced apart in the horizontal direction, an adhesive 1A applied to the outer peripheral surface of the first and second rotating rollers 1, 2, and a belt-like loop member 5 entrained about the first and second rotating rollers 1, 2 to move therebetween as they rotate, and formed of a dielectric material which is moved while adhering to the adhesive 1A as it moves and then peeled off. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
