<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the manufacturing cost of a folding baby carriage of a so-called buggy type and furthermore to increase stability of the folding baby carriage when allowed to stand by itself. <P>SOLUTION: The self-standing structure for a folding baby carriage having two left and right rear legs 13 which are provided with rear wheels 12 at the lower ends thereof and configured in such a manner that, when the rear legs 13 are made to approach each other in the left-right direction of the baby carriage 11, the baby carriage is folded and a support leg 21 which is provided in the left and right rear legs 13 comes in contact with the ground together with the rear wheels 12 to allow the folding baby carriage to stand by itself. The support leg 21 comprises two support leg elements 22 which cross each other at the intermediate section of each of the support leg elements in the longitudinal direction thereof and which are rotatably connected at the crossing section 23. The upper ends 22a of the support leg elements 22 are rotatably connected, while the support leg elements 22 are tilted in the front-rear direction, to the rear legs 13 as the left and right rear legs 13 approach and separate from each other. When the baby carriage is folded and is in a self-standing position, the lower ends of the two support leg elements 22 serve as ground contact sections 22b which are in contact with the ground at positions separated from the rear wheels 12 in the front-rear direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
