<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball feeder capable of restraining a ball from being scratched and capable of enhancing maintainability, and a ball feeding method. <P>SOLUTION: The ball feeder 11 includes a tube 55 in which the ball is stored and in which a carry-out port 65 for carrying out the ball is provided in a part in a circumferential direction, and a driving means for turning the tube 55 around an axial center. A spring member 67 which conveys the ball to the carry-out port 65 along the axial direction of the tube 55 while rolling the ball by turning the tube 55 is provided in the tube 55.
