<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily determine optimal rotating speed preventing chatter vibration in a mode switching position having a large stability margin, even in a processing condition in which chatter vibration caused in a plurality of modes is generated. <P>SOLUTION: Initial rotating speed is set in step S1, and processing is started in step S2. In step S3, vibration acceleration is detected, and maximum acceleration and its chatter frequency are calculated. Next, after generation of chatter vibration is detected in step S4, a k value is calculated and stored in step S5. Then, in step S9, the calculated k value is compared with a k<SB POS="POST">0</SB>value stored before. When the k value is smaller, the calculated k value is updated as the k<SB POS="POST">0</SB>value in step S7, and optimal rotating speed is calculated to change rotating speed in step S8. In contrast, when the k value is the k<SB POS="POST">0</SB>value or larger in the step S9, which stability margin is larger on the low rotation side or the high rotation side is determined from current rotating speed in step S10. Based on the determination result, the mode switching position in the direction having a larger stability margin is searched to determine final optimal rotating speed in step S11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
