<p>The invention belongs to the field of communication technologies and relates to a method and system for achieving accurate charging for a mobile station in a border roaming area. The method for achieving accurate charging for a mobile station in the border roaming area includes that: a plurality of field strength measurement devices for measuring base station signals are set on the border line, and the space between the two adjacent field strength measurement devices is less than 1/50 of the signal coverage radius of the cell where the two field strength measurement devices are located (1); the field strength measurement report for the signal from the base stations located at the two sides of the border line to the mobile station is obtained, and the field strength measurement report is sent by a talking mobile station located in the crossing area of signals from the base stations at the two sides of the border line (2); the field strength measurement report for the signal from the base stations located at two sides of the border line to the field strength measurement devices is obtained, the field strength measurement report is sent by the field strength measurement devices in the range of the base station signal coverage including the signal crossing area (3); the arrival signal field strengths of the same base station at the two sides of the border line, measured by the mobile station and the field strength measurement devices respectively, are compared, and the relative position between the mobile station and the border line is determined according to the field strength loss model (4); the roaming charging for the mobile station at the other side of the border line by the base station communicating with the mobile station is corrected (5). The method for accurate charging provided by the invention is simple, has no need of manual interference, and reduces a mass of labor costs. Also, the method and system for accurate charging provided by the invention have no need of great modification for the current mobile communication system, and can achieve the purpose of accurate charging, with low cost, and convenient upgrade.</p> |
